Puyol: ‘It’ll be difficult if Roma take their chances’

Barcelona legend Carles Puyol sees his former side as favourites but “it’ll be difficult if Roma take their chances”.

The two sides meet at Camp Nou tonight in the first leg of their Champions League Quarter-Final, and the former centre-back spoke to Roma TV ahead of the match.

“Roma are a good team, Barcelona are favourites but they can’t take it for granted, every mistake counts,” Puyol warned.

“I hope Barcelona win, but that it’s a great spectacle. Roma have to stick with their way of playing and take advantage of the chances they get, even if Barcelona are in great form.

“Lionel Messi? Having the best player in the world is definitely an advantage, but there are many other players who can decide matches.

“Barça remain favourites, but it will be complicated for the Blaugrana if Roma take their chances.”
