It is no surprise that Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo made the headlines on Wednesday following his sensational overhead kick against Juventus.

Ronaldo's bicycle kick to put Madrid 2-0 up in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final was one of the greatest goals in the competition.
The remarkable effort was applauded by the home supporters in the Allianz Stadium.

Zinedine Zidane's side produced a commanding display against Juve with the tie almost over after securing a 3-0 victory.
Spanish newspapers AS and Marca led with a picture of Ronaldo's amazing strike.
AS's headline was: 'What planet did you come from? while Marca's read: 'The goal' followed by 'Cristiano scores an overhead kick in a historic victory in Turin'.

However it was not only Spain that praised Ronaldo as Italian newspapers La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport also featured Ronaldo on their front pages.
La Gazzetta's headline read: 'CRWOW!' while Corriere referred to the strike as 'a work of art'.
The headline on the Tuttosport front page was: 'On another planet.'

France and Portugal also joined in in hailing Ronaldo on Wednesday morning.
L'Equipe's headline also read: 'On another planet' while Portuguese paper A BOLA's headline read: 'You are the greatest!'
Spain's Catalonia-based papers Mundo Deportivo and Sport gave Ronaldo little limelight and had Lionel Messi as their splashes.
