It was honours even on Saturday as bitter rivals Fenerbahce and Galatasaray fought out a goalless draw in the Intercontinental Derby.
Turkish Super Lig leaders Galatasaray arrived at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium looking to win their first match there in 19 years.
However, their wait for a first victory since December 22, 1999 - when they won 2-1 - will continue after wasting opportunities to leave with all three points.
Fenerbahce will feel equally disappointed they didn't win - with the hosts also being guilty of squandering some good opportunities.
Despite the lack of goal action, that didn't stop the supporters from either side displaying their passion in the stands.
The fixture is more than a century in existence and has developed into one of the greatest, most intense and often bitter derbies in the world - and that was encapsulated by the use of mosaics and orchestrated chants on Saturday as the Fenerbahce fans tried to roar their side to victory. One mosaic depicted a Fener fan hold a severed head of a Lion - the nickname of Galatasaray.
However, as it stood they had to make do with a point.
The result sees Galatasaray increase their lead at the top of the table to 54 points with second placed Besiktas due to face Basaksehir in third on Sunday. Both of those teams are currently tied on 50 points.
Meanwhile, Fenerbahce remain fourth on 48 points.
