Dortmund to play Roma in friendly on August 15

This Monday, Borussia Dortmund officially announced that they will play a friendly match at home against Roma on August 15.

Before the official start of the season, Borussia Dortmund will host Roma at home. The match will take place on August 15 at 5:30 PM (23:30 Beijing time (CEST)). This event is sponsored by Schauinsland Reisen, and partner Vodafone will also participate, offering a variety of entertainment activities.

This match against Roma is very significant: Ignacio, Rejiani, and Filippo Mane are all in the Borussia Dortmund squad, and they will face a team from their hometown. Roma finished 3rd in Serie A last season, successfully qualifying for the Champions League.

In addition, this match will welcome an old friend: Malen will return to Signal Iduna Park in a Roma jersey. The season opener is part of the pre-season training, with professional players starting pre-season training on July 12, beginning with physical tests.

Two days later, on July 14, the coaching staff led by Niko Kovac will assemble the team on the field for the first time. Players who participated in the World Cup will have an extended rest period after the tournament and will return to the team a bit later.
