According to reports from Radio Cadena COPE journalist Helena Condis Edo, upon arriving at the Camp Nou, Messi requested permission from staff, which Barcelona readily granted.

Reporter Helena Condis Edo reported that Messi personally attended the venue and requested permission from staff to enter the Camp Nou.
Barcelona naturally had no objection and gladly granted the request: the club stated, "Messi will always receive the warmest welcome in Barcelona."
