Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney stated on a podcast that Mbeumo is the club's best signing of the season.
Among the standout performers during Manchester United's current winning streak is Mbeumo. He netted the opening goal at Anfield and then bagged a brace against Brighton at the weekend. The Cameroonian international joined from Brentford this summer for an initial fee of £65 million, and Rooney believes he has become United's best signing of the season.
Rooney remarked: "Mbeumo's consistency has been key. When you consistently occupy the right positions and get your chances, the goals will follow. As a striker, when you keep finding the net and relish that sense of achievement, it creates a virtuous cycle.
