Inter have completed the signing of 21-year-old midfielder Petar Sucic from Dinamo Zagreb, as the managerless Nerazzurri build towards the Club World Cup.

Inter will reportedly pay an initial fee of €14million plus €2.5m in add-ons for Sucic, who has won seven senior caps for Croatia.

He scored five goals and provided two assists in 26 league games in 2024-25, as Dinamo narrowly missed out on a 26th Croatian top-flight crown, finishing second to Rijeka on the head-to-head tiebreaker.

Sucic will join up with Inter ahead of their opening match at the Club World Cup, against Mexican side Monterrey at the Rose Bowl on June 17.

Inter are looking for a new head coach ahead of that tournament, with Simone Inzaghi leaving by mutual consent after their 5-0 Champions League final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain and appearing set for a move to Al-Hilal.

Former Chelsea, Barcelona and Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been linked with the post, having impressively guided Como to Serie A before registering a 10th-placed finish in their first campaign back in the top flight.

However, reports on Wednesday suggested Como are confident of keeping Fabregas, who is also a minority shareholder in the club.

After facing Monterrey, Inter go to Seattle to take on Japanese outfit Urawa Red Diamonds on June 21 before concluding their Group E campaign against River Plate on June 25.
