Hirving Lozano is proud of his adaptation to MLS and believes he is showing his best form for San Diego, who visit Lumen Field to face the Seattle Sounders on Wednesday.
Lozano struck a stoppage-time winner as San Diego's impressive expansion season continued with a 2-1 victory over the struggling LA Galaxy on Saturday.
They are second in the Western Conference standings, one point above third-placed Minnesota United but four adrift of the Vancouver Whitecaps – the current Supporters' Shield frontrunners.
Lozano has five goals and four assists for San Diego since arriving from PSV, with whom he won the Eredivisie last season.
"I was able to contribute a little to that team and earn another European championship, but now I'm here and I want to do things right," Lozano said, reflecting on his time with PSV.
"From the moment I arrived, everything has been wonderful. I'm very happy and enjoying it to the fullest. I'm working hard and feel I'm regaining my top form."
San Diego coach Mikey Varas added of Lozano after the Galaxy game: "Chucky is a winner. He was fouled repeatedly, many of which weren't even called, but he kept going. He did a fantastic job."

Seattle are also coming off a weekend win, having beaten FC Dallas 1-0 on the road via a late Albert Rusnak penalty. The Sounders are fifth in the West, four points adrift of San Diego.
"I was frustrated the whole game," goalscorer Rusnak said after the Dallas game. "I couldn’t find the space and it kept brewing and brewing.
"When I scored, I just let it out. I don't know if it was happiness or frustration. I don't know what it looked like, I'll have to look back."
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Seattle Sounders – Albert Rusnak
The hero of Seattle's win in Texas at the weekend, Rusnak has 10 goal involvements in MLS this season (seven goals, three assists).
Only Tai Baribo (14), Anders Dreyer (12), Pep Biel, Evander and Martin Ojeda (all 11) have more in the league this year.
San Diego – Hirving Lozano
As well as contributing to nine goals in MLS this campaign, Lozano leads all San Diego players for successful dribbles (26) and shots attempted (48) in 2025.
MATCH PREDICTION – SEATTLE SOUNDERS WIN
San Diego are unbeaten in their last five MLS matches following their win over the Galaxy, though they have been inconsistent on their travels this term.
They have won three and lost three of their six road games since joining MLS.
Seattle, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last 11 home games in MLS, a run that stretches back to last season.
