Match Report
Barcelona head coach Pere Romeu praised his side for an "almost perfect match" after they thrashed Real Madrid 5-0 to win a fourth straight Supercopa Femenina title.
It was a resounding performance from Barcelona, despite a cagey first 30 minutes before Caroline Graham Hansen broke the deadlock with a deflected close-range finish.
They then doubled their lead in the 37th minute, Ewa Pajor getting between two defenders to meet Graham Hansen's cutback from the byline before getting her second in stoppage time with a stunning glancing header.
Madrid could not recover after the break and Patricia Guijarro put the game truly out of sight just after the hour with a stunning long-range strike into the top corner.
Alexia Putellas rounded things off following a disallowed Madrid goal, turning in the rebound after Pajor was denied a hat-trick by the post.
It is the first piece of silverware Romeu has won in charge of Barcelona, and he was delighted to win the trophy, especially against their Clasico rivals.
"A very good match, almost perfect match, the first few minutes were very even, but then we started to get the better of them," Romeu said.
"There was extra motivation against Madrid, here in Madrid, if we did things the way we knew we could win. Very happy.
"I've had a good time. You know it's a final, there are nerves, people are extra motivated. We knew we had to play football because that brings us closer to victory.
"When you have so much conviction, and it works out, it's comforting. I'm very happy with the first title and for it being the first, I hope, of the season."

Madrid have never beaten Barcelona in any competition in their history, with this their 16th such meeting.
They lost 4-0 in Liga F in November, but where Barcelona dominated throughout, here Alberto Toril was left rueing how they did not take advantage in a tight opening to the game.
"It was a resounding victory, but within that resounding victory, there are other interpretations," he said.
"Until the 32nd minute, it was equal, well faced by the players, on equal terms. The 3-0 lead at half-time was very large given what we saw on the pitch. We went into the break understanding that it was a tough moment.
"There are positive things within the defeat that are important for our future. It is a defeat, but there are good things."
