Pioli: Champions League now out of reach

Stefano Pioli spoke to PremiumSport after the 2-2 draw with Torino.

“We played against an aggressive team, but we adapted later in this game. We made ongoing errors that did not allow us to attack better. There is regret for the chances wasted, but it was a good game. we wanted to win and we did not succeed. Is the Champions League out of reach? I would say so, yes. Now we can recover energy, mentally and physically [over the international break]. I was expecting something more but now we must prepare ourselves well for the final part of the season, we know that it will not be easy. We find ourselves in the wrong situations too often with not enough hustle and bustle. We could have done better in the midfield, it was a complicated match and we had chances to win it. Today wasn’t the best performance of the season, we know that from a technical point of view we must do better. My future? I am happy with the confidence and support shown in the work we are doing. Today I’m not happy, I’m not worried about my future, now get ready for the next games.”
