Genoa will be without midfielder Miguel Veloso for at least a month after he suffered a thigh strain.
The club released a statement confirming medical tests found a Grade I-II lesion to the soleus muscle of his right leg.
Doctors believe Veloso will be on the sidelines for approximately four weeks.
The 31-year-old has made 20 competitive appearances this season between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
