Arne Slot is set to take charge of his first Premier League match as Liverpool boss later this month when they travel to Portman Road to take on newly-promoted Ipswich Town.
Liverpool are entering a new era under Slot, who has replaced Jurgen Klopp at the helm after almost nine years in charge. The Reds have yet to make any new signings so far this summer, but that could change in the coming weeks.
A number of players have been linked with moves to Anfield and with the transfer window set to slam shut in just four weeks time, Liverpool will need to move quickly in order to strengthen their squad.
So how might Liverpool's starting XI look by the time we get to the opening weekend of the season? Mirror Football takes a look.
Alisson is set to continue as Liverpool's first-choice goalkeeper, with back-up Caoimhin Kelleher weighing up his future at the club. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson are also expected to remain Slot's starting full-backs, although Real Madrid have been linked with the England international.
Club captain Virgil van Dijk could welcome a new centre-back partner, though, in the form of Marc Guehi. According to the Sun, Liverpool have now entered the race to sign the former Chelsea defender.
The report states that Crystal Palace value Guehi at £75million, with Newcastle also interested in signing him. In midfield, Slot could stick with Wataru Endo, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, with the likes of Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliot and Stefan Bajcetic also providing competition.
Liverpool could also complete a deal to sign winger Anthony Gordon from Newcastle, with the Sun also reporting that they are willing to include versatile defender Joe Gomez as part of the deal.
Liverpool are longtime admirers of Gordon and the 24-year-old is a boyhood fan who grew up idolising Steven Gerrard and was part of the club's academy until he was 11. Mohamed Salah is also set to stay at Anfield as he enters the final year of his contract, while Darwin Nunez may get the nod to lead the line.
Slot will also have plenty of other attacking options at his disposal in the form of Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, Cody Gakpo and Fabio Carvalho, while youngsters Kaide Gordon, Ben Doak, Jayden Danns and Lewis Koumas may also get further first-team opportunities this season.
Liverpool's dream XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Guehi, Van Dijk, Robertson; Endo, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Salah, Nunez, Gordon.
