MY FAVOURITE SHIRT WITH IAN RUSH: I dreamed of scoring a goal in the FA Final

I look at my favourite shirt as the Crown Paints-sponsored one from 1986 which Liverpool wore for the FA Cup final.

As a kid, I dreamed of scoring a goal in the final. I know the kids today will dream of scoring in the Champions League now and things have changed.

But for me, in 1986, scoring twice to secure the Double — it makes that day so special.

I don’t remember what happened in the post-match party!

It was a dream come true, to beat Everton as well after winning the league from them the week before. All my dreams came true in that shirt.
