Tello: CL my Fiorentina dream

Fiorentina winger Cristian Tello has revealed ambitions of a Champions League finish with the Viola this season.

The 25-year-old belives the replay of the postponed match with Genoa will be important to recapture some lost ground in the standings, and was ambigous over a return to parent club Barcelona.

Why did the Catalan return to Fiorentina for a second loan spell?

"Because the four months of living here from February to the end of last season were incredible.

"I was surprised above all in the confidence that the Coach has always had towards me. For these reasons I had no doubt in choosing Florence. 

"Our position in the table is also due to the postponement against Genoa, with whom we still have to play at the Marassi.

"We must pick ourselves up and play the match again, and go back to win in Genoa.

"We must not be prisoners of our emotions, nor euphoria or depression. Aims?

"A gift for me, for the team and for the city would be to reach the Champions League places this year. "

"Will I return to Barcelona? I’m focused on the present, I’m thinking about Fiorentina.

"I would go back, but I'm happy here. The Italian league is very difficult, the defenders are compact and to open the gates in a one on one situation is never guaranteed. But it's one of the things I love to do."
