Manchester United remain on the hunt for January transfers.

The Red Devils could do with a number of fresh faces including a new forward. Erik ten Hag has already suggested that his side could dip into the loan market - Bayern Munich’s Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting remains linked with a move to Old Trafford.

While the former Stoke star could swap the Bundesliga for the Premier League, one current Man United star has gone in the opposite direction. Jadon Sancho has completed a loan switch back to Borussia Dortmund.

There could potentially be a few more deals in the coming days. Take a look at the standout rumours coming out of Old Trafford over the past 24 hours:

Man United boss Ten Hag has wished Sancho luck during his six month loan spell at Borussia Dortmund. Speaking in a press conference ahead of this weekend’s clash with Tottenham, the Dutchman said: "I hope he's doing well, so I wish him the best of good luck. That's it. I hope he's doing well and he'll be a success."

Ten Hag was then asked again but this time remained tight-lipped. He added: "I replied [to the previous question], I think it's enough."

Sancho’s move to Dortmund sees his Man United exile following his public spat with Ten Hag end.

Man Utd winger Amad has hinted that he wants to stay at Old Trafford despite links with loan moves away from the club. Championship leaders Leicester are rumoured to be among the contenders for his services this January.

Speaking to the United Review, the winger said: “Now I’ve come in with more belief and with the desire to help the team as I’ve always wanted to do, and I want to continue on this path. Whenever the coach calls me up or sends me on the pitch, I want to be always present to help the team.”

Amad made his return to the first-team in the 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest after a lengthy injury lay-off.

Portuguese giants Benfica are reportedly hoping to seal a deal for Man United defender Alvaro Fernandez. That is according to Portuguese outlet Record, who suggest that a move could be completed within a few hours.

It is suggested that they have ramped up their interest in the left-back. Fernandez is currently on loan with Spanish side Granada.

A permanent deal is in the offing with it being suggested that Benfica could pay €7 million (£6m) for him, although that fee could be lower if a sell-on clause is inserted into the deal.
