Mayssam Benama signs first professional contract with Monaco

As reported by Loïc Tanzi and Nice-Matin, Mayssam Benama (18) has signed his first professional contract with AS Monaco. Get French Football News can confirm that the France U18 international has turned pro with Les Monégasques and signed a deal running until 2026, only the officialisation of the deal remains.

Benama was part of the Monaco team that won this year’s Coupe Gambardella at the Stade de France. The midfielder got the first goal in that game on their way to a 4-2 victory over Clermont Foot. He is now set to sign his first professional contract with his formative club.

Get French Football News understands that the deal, which will run until 2026, has already been signed and only the officialisation of the deal remains. Benama is set to sign amidst interest from other clubs. Nice-Matin reported last month that Olympique de Marseille, FC Nantes, Stade de Reims and FC Toulouse were all interested in prising the young midfielder away from the Principality club. However, Benama will now stay at Monaco and turn professional.
