Fikayo Tomori was left gushing over his 'idol' Thierry Henry after being questioned by the former footballer during AC Milan's post-match interview on Tuesday evening.

Tomori played a pivotal role in AC Milan's 1-1 draw with Napoli during their quarter-final second leg tie with Napoli. As a result, his side secured a place in the semi-final on aggregate.

Tomori was interviewed by Henry after the game and couldn't help but gush over the former French international.

However, fans couldn't help but laugh at the interaction between Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards after Tomori called the 25-year-old 'funny'.

Speaking on BT Sport, Tomori said: As a player, yeah of course, there is not much to be said. When I was growing up he was my idol. I hope you don't mind me embarrassing you by all of this.

'Yeah I was a big fan. He was my idol so yeah. Obviously when I was getting older I was getting moved further back down the pitch but yeah. As a pundit as well he is really funny.'

Carragher couldn't believe what he heard and interrupted saying: 'Funny? Funny? What!'. While Richards burst out into laughter.

Carragher continued: 'Funny, that's me and Micah [Richards]. Not Thierry [Henry]. He's the analyst.'

Tomori replied saying: 'No, I remember the last game. We were watching a video of the "guess who" and he guess himself twice instead of Olly so that was a really funny one.'

Henry took the chance to thank Tomori for his kind comments and continued the interview with the 25-year-old.

He said: 'First and foremost, thank you. I was getting a bit red but I want to ask you a question. How great is it to play in front of Mike Menyion?'.
