Sergio Ramos and girlfriend pay a visit to London on romantic weekend getaway

Sergio Ramos and his girlfriend Pilar Rubio made the most of the international break by visiting London for the weekend.

The pair, who have been in a relationship since 2012, took to Instagram to document their experience.

'London calling... The perfect weekend because of you, my love,' Ramos wrote as they shared a kiss on Carnaby Street.

Rubio, a Spanish reporter and television presenter, shared a snap of her own with the caption: 'London is always special. With you, it can't get any better.'

The couple have two children, Sergio (two), and Marco, who celebrated his first birthday on Monday.

Ramos is playing no part in Spain's two international fixtures, which include a friendly with England on Tuesday, as he continues to recover from a knee injury picked up in La Roja's World Cup qualifier in Albania last month.

The 30-year-old's rehabilitation has seen him miss eight games for Madrid, who sit one point clear at the top of La Liga.

However, the defender could be set to return to action when Los Blancos visit local rivals Atletico in a crunch La Liga clash on Saturday. 

On Monday Spanish sports paper AS lead with the news that the club captain is 'back for the derby' having 'recovered from a knee sprain suffered in early October.'
