Real Madrid sound like they’re ready to make a move in attack.
The Merengues are, according to EcoDiario, ready to get rid of striker Karim Benzema.
The French international’s current deal expires in 2019, and is coming off an injury that could keep him out of the Clasico, which will be held next week.
The former Juventus target has been at the Santiago Bernabeu since 2009, scoring 167 goals in 330 games.
The Spanish daily believes that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will replace Benzema, though it could also be that the Merengues will let former academy man Alvaro Morata rise to the occasion.
Our own Angelo Taglieri recently wrote that Morata could be taking over anyway, having nabbed as many Liga goals (4) as Benzema, and conquered the hearts of the local fans.
Morata’s most important goal at the Bernabeu remains the equaliser he netted with Juventus two seasons ago, his goal knocking Real out of the Champions League.
