Fulham are continuing to discuss a deal with Serie A side Torino for the purchase of the club's Serbian midfielder Sasa Lukic.

The Premier League side made their opening £8m bid on Friday as Fulham boss Marco Silva looks to add further quality to his squad.

Lukic featured for his country at the World Cup in Qatar last month and is keen on a move to Craven Cottage during the January transfer window, with the two parties keen to get a deal agreed.

The 26-year-old who can play as No 6 or a No 8 is set to sign a deal at Fulham until the summer of 2026, according to reports in Italy.

Torino are open to selling Lukic to the English outfit but want to first wrap up their own dealings with Verona for midfielder Ivan Ilic

The club are willing to let him go given the finances they will receive for Lukic, despite previously considering him a potential future captain.

Selling Lukic guarantees a large figure and immediately makes room for the highly-talented Ilic without creating financial problems for the side.

Silva's ambitious team have stormed to an unexpected seventh place in the Premier League standings and are attempting to bring in further talents to aid them in their audacious bid for a place in one of next season's European Cup competitions.

Fulham are also extending their search for new recruits to South America and are additionally attempting to agree a loan move for 21-year-old Brazilian midfielder, Andre.

The club is pursuing a loan deal with a £17.5m option to buy the defensive midfield star and have stepped up their efforts to secure his services in the remaining days of the midseason transfer window.

Andre enjoyed an impressive season starring for Fluminese, making 61 appearances for the Brazilian Serie A side and scoring two goals in all competitions.
