Former AC Milan fullback Massimo Oddo admits Olivier Giroud has surprised him.
The Frenchman is now in his second season with the Rossonero.
Giroud was again outstanding on Wednesday night as he scored twice in their Europa League win against RB Salzburg.
Oddo enthused: "I didn't expect he could be so decisive.
"He is a champion. In some matches players like him drag the team. In Milan, however, many players are becoming essential."
