Joao Pedro has ended speculation over his future after insisting that he's 'fully committed' to Watford.

The 20-year-old has been linked to a host of Premier League clubs this summer including Newcastle and Everton.

Despite the Toffees reviving their interest in Pedro this week, the youngster has confirmed where his immediate future lies in a post on social media.

On Instagram he wrote: 'I’m very happy here. I love being at Watford and I want to do more with them.

'I spoke to the board yesterday and I am fully committed to the club and looking forward to a successful season. Let's go Hornets.'

The news will be music to the ears of Watford fans, who are hoping Pedro can play a big part in their immediate return to the Premier League.

Pedro joined the Hornets in January 2020, and has gone on to score 15 goals in 80 appearances.

Everton most recently made an enquiry over Pedro, in a deal worth £25million plus a further £5m in add-ons.

That deal though failed to reach a conclusion, while Newcastle instead switched to Alexander Isak in a £60m deal following the injury to Callum Wilson.

It was reported that insiders at Everton believed Pedro could be better than Richarlison, who played a key role in helping them avoid the drop last season, before completing a move to Tottenham over the summer.

Pedro's talent is obvious though raw, and so far this campaign he has scored two goals and provided as many assists in six games.

Everton have made four signings this summer, including Neal Maupay from Brighton and Dwight McNeil from Burnley.

Watford currently sit fourth in the Championship after seven games, and are two points off leaders Sheffield United.
