Juventus have reportedly decided to pursue a move to sign Marseille striker Arkadiusz Milik over Barcelona star Memphis Depay.
The Italian giants had been trying to sign the Dutchman from the Catalonians but had struggled to agree to a deal.
During these negotiations, however, Juventus were reportedly able to agree on a loan with an option to buy Milik with Marseille, which will see the Italian side pay €2million (£1.7m) for the initial loan period.
If the 28-year-old impresses, Juventus will be able to make the move permanent for €8m next summer, according to Gianluca di Marzio.
The striker's move is believed to be close to completion, after a meeting between Juventus officials and manager Massimiliano Allegri saw the decision to sign him be made.
The Polish international has plenty of experience of playing in Serie A having made 122 appearances for Napoli, scoring 48 goals and assisting five more.
Milik would likely play back-up to Dusan Vlahovic, who has hit the ground running since his move to Juventus in January earlier this year, scoring 11 goals in 23 games for the club, including two in his first two games this season.
Depay's future, however, remains up in the air with Barcelona looking to get his wages off the books so they can register new players.
The former Manchester United winger has scored 13 goals for Barcelona in 37 appearances for the club, but is yet to play this season.
