Owen gushing about his daughter Emily May as she bagged multiple sprint medals

His eldest daughter Gemma was catapulted to fame as she soaked up the sun at the Love Island villa.

And Michael Owen shared another glimpse into his family unit on Monday, taking to Instagram to gush about his 14-year-old daughter Emily May.

The former footballer, who dubbed her the “speed queen,” gushed he was “so, so proud” of her as she picked up multiple medals for competitive sprints.

With his 336,000 followers, the 42-year-old first shared a snap of himself and Emily smiling for the camera.

The carousel then featured one of the teenagers after a winning race, dressed with a medal around her neck while wearing running gear.

Describing his daughter's numerous wins, Michael said: “So proud of my little speedball of a daughter @emily.owen”

In addition to Emily and Gemma, Michael is also a father to his youngest daughter Jessica, 12, and only son James Michael.

He shares the four children with Louise, a childhood friend he has known for over 35 years.

And while one daughter takes to the track, another nears the finish line herself as Love Island enters its final weeks.

The jock will soon be reunited with eldest Gemma, who is currently exploring a relationship with island mate Luca Bish.

And while the pair seems to be going from strength to strength, there could be another trophy to hang in the Owen household.
