Bild axe reporter from Bayern coverage after she starts dating Nagelsmann

GERMANY'S top paper Bild have axed a reporter from their Bayern Munich coverage - after it emerged that she's dating their MANAGER.

Nagelsmann, 34, has split with wife Verena, after 15 years together, having wed in 2018.

Bild reported on the split, before confirming that their own reporter is in a relationship with Nagelsmann.

In doing so, they announced that Lena Wurzenberger would be removed from Bayern reporting duties "with immediate effect".

Nagelsmann has holidayed with Wurzenberger this summer, enjoying a yacht vacation in Ibiza.

The 30-year-old had been covering the perennial Bundesliga champions for the last two years, after previously reporting on Werder Bremen.Wurzenberger has sacrificed her position to avoid a conflict of interests.

She is well known by Bayern players having been around the club, and even recently interviewed new recruit Sadio Mane.

Nagelsmann is determined to keep the relationship private after splitting with ex Verena.

The German has two children with Verena, but is now "in a serious relationship" with Lena.

In addition to informing Bild, the couple also made Bayern Munich aware of the relationship.

Verena, 35, was Nagelsmann's childhood sweetheart.

The duo wed in a private ceremony four years ago.
