Nicolo Schira: Haaland in Manchester City, Five-year contract for the Norwegian

Erling Braut Haaland is one of the transfer market’s hottest names. On April 12, Nicolo Schira informed that the English club is one step away from establishing cooperation with the Norwegian. Only details were to be agreed. Now the journalist has confirmed that the 21-year-old has made the final decision about the future – from the season 2022/2023 he will represent the colors of Manchester City. According to reports, Pep Guardiola’s team will pay Haaland’s current employer 75 million euros in compensation (around £ 63 million).

The Norwegian will receive a five-year contract that will run until June 2027. Then he will be 26 years old and will still have the opportunity to change clubs. Unofficially, it is said that the adventure with Manchester City is to be a “stop” on the way to the Bernabeu. Under the contract with Pep Guardiola’s team, the 21-year-old will earn 30 million euros a year. The amount can be increased with bonuses, which means that the Norwegian will be the best-paid player in the Premier League.

This season, the 21-year-old has played 28 matches in all competitions, scoring 28 goals and eight assists. The achievements of the forward would probably be much greater, if not for frequent injuries.
