The Europa League semi-finals saw Eintracht Frankfurt enjoy a dream start at the London Stadium as they scored within the first minute in a 2-1 win over West Ham.

The Bundesliga side broke the deadlock in seconds as Rafael Santos Borre broke down the flank and crossed into Ansgar Knauff at the far post to head in and shock the Hammers' faithful in the stands.

A visibly furious David Moyes saw his team react, with Michail Antonio central to much of what the Irons produced.

Their pressure paid off as Jarred Bowen hit the post after smart work by Antonio, and then the winger scored himself as he got on the end of a set piece following Kurt Zouma's flick on.

That levelled the tie heading into the second half, where West Ham continued to threaten at set pieces.

It was the Germans who found a breakthrough as Daichi Kamada pounced onto a rebound in the box as Alphonse Areola couldn't keep hold of Jesper Lindstrom's effort.

In a real end-to-end encounter, Said Benrahma hit the post at one end with a long-range effort, as did Kamada as he went for a second goal, only for Craig Dawson to deflect it onto the woodwork.

Oliver Glasner's team now have the advantage ahead of the return fixture at the Deutsche Bank Park next Thursday.
