The plan for Marvin Park

Marvin Park was one of the surprises of Real Madrid's 2020/21 season. The youngster debuted away at Real Sociedad in their LaLiga Santander opener, before he showed up again towards the end of the campaign when Zinedine Zidane needed him.

When injuries forced Zidane's hand, Marvin did his job, met expectations and showed the character needed to be a first-team player at Real Madrid.

Now, the 21-year-old has been working under Carlo Ancelotti's orders since the first day of pre-season.

With Los Blancos having decided last season that their academy products would feature in the first team, Marvin was one of a few who showed they were deserving of their place at the club.

Having been a winger with Castilla, Marvin impressed in more of a wing-back role for Los Blancos' first team, showing that he can adapt while boasting all of the skills that modern football demands. The 21-year-old is as quick and powerful as he needs to be to succeed in the modern game and Real Madrid believe that he can do more damage from deep than he can as a traditional winger.

The youngster is one of a group of players that the club want to step up again this season after showing something last term. He played four times and played well, while also being an important part of what Castilla did.
