Liverpool are lining up a January move for Bayer Leverkusen centre-half Jonathan Tah in January, according to the Sunday Mirror.

Jurgen Klopp is determined to bolster his defensive options as the Reds continue to concede sloppy goals, with Tah the main target.

Liverpool have conceded 14 goals in their 11 league outings so far, though Joel Matip's introduction into the team has shored things up somewhat. 

However, Tah, an imposing central defender who is comfortable playing out from the back, is seen as someone who could plug the gap in the Liverpool backline.
