Atletico Madrid star Marcos Llorente has admitted 'anything can happen' in regards to his future at the club, amid interest from Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester United.

The 26-year-old scored 12 goals and provided 11 assists as Diego Simeone's side clinched the LaLiga title last season.
Llorente who has three years left on his deal at the Wanda Metropolitan, has reportedly attracted the Premier League sides on the back of a very impressive season.

The Spaniard has told AS that he is happy to remain where he is, but added that 'anything' can happen in football.
He told the Spanish publication: 'I have many years left (on my contract). My idea is to stay, I'm fine, I'm happy at Atletico Madrid.
'We have had a great season winning La Liga. Anything can happen in football, but I don't think about that kind of thing. I am happy and now I am with the national team.
'There were conversations a long time ago, it is true, but nothing happened and the negotiation was not completed. I have no problem.'
Llorente famously scored twice to dump then Champions League holders Liverpool, out of the last-16 stage of the competition in March 2020.
His agent is reported to have said last December than Jurgen Klopp's side had reached out to him to discuss a possible move.

Meanwhile Manchester United were linked with a £68.5m move for Llorente back in March.
Only Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez was involved in more goals for the LaLiga title winners this past season.
Llorente played the full duration for Spain in their opening two Euro 2020 games against Sweden and Poland, before he was left on the bench for their 5-0 victory over Slovakia.
