Sevilla breeze through to the Copa last-16

A two-leg 7-0 thrashing over Segunda B Group IV leaders Cartagena highlighted Sevilla's quality in their Copa Del Rey match up.

Following a 3-0 away win in the first fixture for the Andalusians, the home tie produced, in respect to Cartagena, a training game.

Two goals within the first 10 minutes for Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder set the tie out of the reach for the visitors with another just before the break scored by Ganso.

A final nail in the coffin on the 66th minute came via Joaquín Correa, cementing the absent Eduardo Berizzo's side's position in the next round.

Sevilla's thoughts will now turn to their next fixture at home to Deportivo La Coruna.

Whilst the defeat for Cartagena will allow them to focus on their quest to secure promotion to the Segunda Division, the side will now be hoping for another three points away to Lorca Deportiva, who sit second from the bottom in the league.
