Pogba is a better dancer, but my Hotline Bling celebration beats his Dab – Griezmann

The Atletico Madrid superstar discussed a number of light-hearted issues in an exclusive interview with Goal, including dancing, music and South American drinks!
Antoine Griezmann has joked that although Paul Pogba might be a better dancer than him, his Hotline Bling celebration is superior to the Manchester United man’s ‘Dab’.
The pair have become synonymous with the two celebrations in 2016, a year in which both players have excelled on the pitch – leading to Griezmann finishing third in the Goal 50 and Pogba in 15th.
Asked by Goal whose celebration is better, the Atletico Madrid ace smiled: “You have to ask some other folk but I’m going to say mine.”
The 25-year-old has admitted that he is delighted when others replicate the trademark Drake dance, explaining: “I often receive photos and videos on my social networks and it makes me laugh. My celebration is even in FIFA! It’s a dream for me and I hope that kids can see it as often as possible.”
Griezmann has also confessed that he would love to team up with France team-mate Pogba at Atletico Madrid, yet he named another France team-mate as an alternative if he were allowed one dream signing for his club side.
“I’d sign Alexandre Lacazette [of Lyon] or Pogba. I love how Alexandre plays and he’s a really good guy. The same for Paul – he’s a great player and a good mate. I hope to play with one of the two one day,” he said.
While Griezmann might have the edge over Pogba in the celebration stakes, he thinks his good friend has the upper hand on the actual dance floor.
“Paul dances a lot more than me and is a lot better. But from time to time I like to dance and sing in my car, like everyone,” he smirked.
“Patrice Evra’s not bad but he’s more serious than Paul and I see him less often.”
But who is the best dancer at his club side?
“Jose Gimenez, I would say. The South Americans have it in their skin.”
Indeed, Griezmann has revealed that he has something of a soft spot for South American culture.
“I love South America” he gushed.
“That’s why me, my girlfriend and my daughter drink mate [a traditional South American beverage]. I love the players who have been my team-mates who have come from South America because they are always smiling, always listening and laughing, a little like Paul.”
Music is clearly a big part of the attacker’s life, yet he does not always get to control what is played in the France dressing room.
“It depends,” he noted. “Sometimes it’s Paul who controls the music, sometimes Steve Mandanda or me. We change from time to time.
“I like to listen to a bit of everything: American rap, Spanish music and sometimes other sounds.”
