Ronaldo and Pepe among the candidates for best Portuguese player award

The Real Madrid stars will battle it out to be named best Portuguese footballer of 2016.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe, as well as goalkeeper Rui Patricio, are the three finalists looking to win the "Quinas de Oro" award for the best Portuguese player of 2016. It is a prize presented by the Portuguese Football Federation in collaboration with the National Football Association and the Players Union. Coaches, players and fans can all take part in the voting process to decide the winner, up until the 13th of March.
