Rudi Garcia on Depay: If he can go to a club that can win the Champions League, I'll take him there personally

Lyon boss Rudi Garcia has opened the door for Memphis Depay to depart the club.

The Dutchman, who is Lyon's captain, has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona.

"Memphis is a top player, a fantastic player who has just returned from cruciate ligament surgery," Garcia told Telefoot.

"If he stays with Lyon this season, we'll only be stronger.

"But if he gets a chance to play at a club that can win the Champions League, and he plays a lot for them next season, I'll personally drive him there with my car, like many of my other players."

New Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has expressed to the club that he would like Depay to be signed.

The Blaugrana have been unable to reach an agreement with Inter for Lautaro Martinez, so a move for Depay has come under more consideration in recent days.

The 26-year-old has one year left on his contract at Lyon.
