Souare had to be cut from the wreckage of his Mercedes and airlifted to hospital following the incident.

He returned to action in Palace's 1-0 Carabao Cup win over Huddersfield this September after initial fears he would never be able to play again.

Speaking back in December, Souare admitted he thought he may never be able to his career was over after the horror crash.

'I don’t know if I can get back to football or not,' he told BBC's World Service. 'The injury was very bad... I know I was very lucky'.
