Chelsea duo Abraham and Mount mock each other in hilarious facial hair battle

Chelsea team-mates Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount have decided to pass the time during lockdown by hilariously comparing each other's facial hair.

Mount posted a photo on Instagram, in which he sported an impressive moustache, and joked that his attempt was already better than Abraham's.

And Abraham rose to the bait after replying with a snap of his own, with Mount ensuring the last laugh by declaring the star striker's beard was 'patchy'.

Footballers have been attempting to occupy themselves at home around training sessions, with several top flight stars even playing competitive FIFA games against each other recently.

But England starlet Mount has instead decided to put his spare time to an entirely different use and boast an ambitious new look.

The comical exchange between two of the Premier League's young talents resulted in Mount roundly mocking Abraham's post by filling in the gaps in his facial hair.

However, eagle-eyed social media users have hinted that Mount's moustache may in fact not be what it seems.

There have been suggestions on Twitter that the 21-year-old may have sneakily made use of a filter on Instagram, rather than actually growing it out himself during his time away from the field.

One user believes Mount's moustache 'has to be fake', while another simply opted to say 'oh no' when Chelsea asked for opinions on their player's snap.

A third user declared 'I can grow a better beard than Mount'.

And another even made the hilarious comparison between the former Derby loanee and the late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.

Chelsea occupy the final Champions League spot, three points ahead of Manchester United, ahead of the planned resumption of the top flight campaign.
