On this day in 2013, ex-Dortmund forward Lewandowski became the first player to score 4 goals in a semi-final match in the history of Champions League.
Dortmund, led by Jurgen Klopp, thrashed Mourinho's Real Madrid 4-1 at home in their first-legged game in UCL semi-finals.
The Polish forward also became the first player in UCL history to score four goals in a game against Real Madrid. He netted 10 goals for Dortmund in that campaign, second-most among all players, only behind Ronaldo, who scored 12.
Dortmund then eliminated Real Madrid with an aggregate score of 4-3 and reached their first Champions League final since 1996/97.
