Thibaut Courtois has done the impossible and will race for Red Bull in the Chinese Virtual Grand Prix this Sunday, replacing Max Verstappen.

The Real Madrid goalkeeper will come up against the likes of Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), George Russell (Williams), Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo), Lando Norris (McLaren), Nicholas Latifi (Williams) and Alex Albon (Red Bull), with the latter acting as the Belgian's teammate.

"I am very happy to be racing alongside Alex Albon and competing in the Virtual Grand Prix," Courtois said.

"Red Bull have shared things with me and have helped train me for these past few weeks; I love games and I have already been up against Alex [Albon] a few times."

"After having practiced these last few weeks, I see myself in the middle of the pack, possibly ending up on the podium."

Courtois has already participated in various virtual races during quarantine, showing that he has what it takes with a controller.

The race will be at 19:00 CET on Sunday, April 19.
