Foden makes use of backyard pitch during lockdown to hit flawless free-kicks

Manchester City star Phil Foden has been making use of his backyard training pitch while he is unable to train with his team-mates.

The midfielder has not let the coronavirus lockdown stop him practicing his technique as he shared a video of him taking free-kicks on Instagram.

Foden is tipped to become a future England star and it's no surprise with the accuracy of his shooting.

The 19-year-old hit three perfect efforts with his left foot into the top corner of the net with ease.

The suspension of football due to the spread of coronavirus came at the worst time for the midfielder after he had come into a good run of form.

A dominant performance in the Carabao Cup final saw him named man of the match as City claimed a 2-1 victory over Aston Villa.

Foden has made 27 appearances in total this season with two goals and seven assists across all competitions.

He has already played more than he did during City's treble-winning 2018/2019 campaign and is likely to feature if play resumes.

The postponement of the European Championships may give Foden a chance of forcing his way into Gareth Southgate's Three Lions squad.

He is yet to make his senior debut but is expected to push for a call-up sooner rather than later.
