LIKE A MODEL: Fernandes - Portuguese magnifico who's from Sporting like Ronaldo

Hello, everyone! Welcome to All Football column LIKE A MODEL! Today we will show you Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United's winter signing.

Bruno Fernandes is a Portuguese midfielder who's born on 8 September 1994. On Jan 30th 2020, Manchester United confirm they officially signed Fernandes from Sporting for €55m. It was the most expensive transfer of the winter transfer window.

The reason why Manchester United decided to pay the bill wasn't only because of the injury woes during that period but also for his consistently outstanding performance in Sporting Lisbon. Fernandes was named the Portuguese League's Player of the Year for 17-18 season on 6 July 2018 and then, he scored 32 goals in 18-19 season.

Before he arrived at Man Utd, he has recorded 16 goals & 14 goals for Sporting with only half of a season played. He awarded Liga NOS's POTM for January - even though he was already at Manchester then.

And since his debut at Manchester United, the team were like totally different. In March and February, Manchester United had a 9-game unbeaten run (6W 3D 0L) with 22 goals scored and only 2 goals conceded. Bruno recorded 2 goals & 7 assisted in those games. 

And in the 2 months, he received 2 POTM awards from Man Utd, and one POTM award from Premier League. He's totally changing the team now.

Bruno Fernandes has already married in 2016, when he was still at Serie A. His wife's name is Ana Pinho. And they've had a 3-year-old daughter.

Bruno and his wife love their daughter very much. They often show their daughter's picture on their Instagram accounts.
