Chelsea have sent special care packages to their players with Premier League clubs keen to ensure their squads stick to their regular diets during periods of self-isolation.
With help from nutritionists, the west London side ordered and mailed out crates of fruit and vegetables to members of the squad who had not already visited supermarkets.
A meeting between all clubs last week underlined the desire to resume the 2019-20 league season, so coaching staff are trying to ensure their players remain fit.
The one-off package sent by Chelsea included a pallet of strawberries, bananas, grapes, raspberries, oranges, apples and pineapples.
There were also four bags of lettuce and spinach, a suction bag of beetroot, three avocados, a packet of tomatoes, two red peppers and 30 eggs.
Chelsea, who are chasing Champions League qualification, did not want to cause issues or add to the chaos in supermarkets by having their players shop for themselves.
The 2019-20 campaign is currently suspended across the English football pyramid after the coronavirus outbreak wiped out most of the sporting calendar across the world.
No football will be played again until April 30 at the earliest, but officials have looked to calm fears that the season could be declared null and void.
