On this day in 2012, Messi became Barcelona's all-time leading scorer.
Messi scored a hat-trick in a league game against Granada to become the club's top scorer, breaking the club's record of 232 official goals set by Cesar Rodriguez during the 1940s and 50s.
He was only 24 years old when he did that.
In the same month, he knocked five goals past Bayer Leverkusen in a Champions League match.
