On this day in 2012, Barca beat Leverkusen 7-1 at Camp Nou and Lionel Messi became the first player in Champions League history to score 5+ goals in a single game.
Barca made it to the semi-finals that season but were dumped out of the campaign after losing 2-3 to Chelsea, which finally claimed the trophy.
