Atletico's CEO Gil Marin announced as new first vice president of La Liga

Atletico Madrid's CEO, Miguel Angel Gil Marin, was announced as the new first vice president of LaLiga on Thursday morning, with the position having been left vacant by Clemente Villaverde.

LaLiga confirmed the appoint of Gil Marin due to the fact he was the only standing candidate and his term of office will be two years with the possibility of being re-elected coming after that time frame.

This is the latest in what has been a period of good news for the Spaniard, after he was elected to be the newest member of the Executive Committee of the Association of European Clubs back in September of 2019.
