Manchester United moved late on Deadline Day to sign Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Shenhua on loan until the end of the season.

Ighalo was just 17 years old when he left Nigeria, but the striker never forgot his roots. Ighalo reportedly spent 500 million Nigerian naira - around £1m - to build a home for poverty-stricken kids.

Manchester United have also announced the signing of Nathan Bishop from Southend United, on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
