'Having Messi is decisive, but I think Real Madrid are more competitive'

Former Real Madrid academy graduate Aleix Febas will be taking on Barcelona this weekend with his current club Real Mallorca.

While the midfielder is worried about the danger Lionel Messi poses, he believes Real Madrid are a better bet for winning titles.

"Having Messi is decisive, but I think Real Madrid maybe have a competitive level that's a little above Barcelona," he said during an appearance on Radio MARCA.

"I'm not thinking about returning to Real Madrid as I am focussed on doing well with Real Mallorca.

"We're focussing on getting a good result [away at Barcelona].

"Perhaps they'll be thinking about the Clasico."

Asked about the pressure that is placed on young players who are beginning their careers, Febas admitted that it can sometimes be excessive.

"Sometimes they want to go too far with the young players," he said.

"But it's true that you have to accept this pressure to go far."
