Chelsea: N'Golo Kante will be hoping to make just his second start in the league this season after completing 90 minutes against Lille back in France.

Callum Hudson-Odoi will also be pushing for a start, having come off the bench to provide an assist in each of his two cameo appearances since returning from injury.

It remains to be seen whether Lampard will call upon Christian Pulisic – the USA international was left out of the squad completely midweek, having being left on the bench in Chelsea's previous four games.

Southampton: Che Adams is back in contention for Southampton after missing last weekend’s defeat to Tottenham Hotspur. Southampton will, however, be without Cedric Soares and Moussa Djenepo.
