The star-studded XI was announced at The Best FIFA Football Awards in Milan on Monday night as Liverpool players Salah, Mane, Robertson, and Alexander-Arnold all miss out on the World 11 while Man City's Bernardo Silva also doesn't make it in the squad.
We've decided to shine the spotlight on those unlucky players, putting together a Fifpro Snubbed XI – and we've even added some substitutes.
Disagree with any of our picks? Let us know in the comments!
Goalkeeper: Ter Stegen (Barcelona)
A member of last season's Champions League Squad of the Season, Ter Stegen has stopped four of the six penalties he's faced in Europe's preeminent tournament for Barcelona.
In La Liga, Ter Stegen made 85 saves while boasting the best passing accuracy (85 percent) for goalkeepers in Spain and the third-best return across Europe's top-five leagues.
Now, if only Die Mannschaft boss Joachim Low would realize that Ter Stegen has surpassed Manuel Neuer as Germany's best shot-stopper.
Right-back: Trent John Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool)
Alexander-Arnold, whose rapid development has seen him emerge as one of the Premier League‘s most potent attacking full-backs.
As well as being part of a Liverpool defense which possessed the Premier League's best defensive record last season, the 20-year-old smashed the league's record for assists by a defender by creating 12 goals last season.
Center-back: Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli)
Kalidou Koulibaly has been Napoli’s best defender in the past few years.
He won the Serie A Best Defender for the 2018-19 season and reached the AFCON Final with Senegal.
Center-back: Aymeric Laporte (Man City)
The French defender had been regarded as a promising talent during his time in Spanish football and slotted seamlessly into the City squad.
Laporte's ability as a ball-playing defender make him ideally suited to Guardiola's possession-based style.
The 25-year-old has since established himself as the club's first-choice defender, whilst he has also shown versatility in filling in at left-back on occasion.
Having helped City to back-to-back titles and a domestic treble, his continued omission from the France squad remains surprising.
Left-back: Andrew Robertson (Liverpool)
The Scotsman is one of just four defenders in Premier League history to assist on 10 or more goals, and his tireless work rate and ability to deliver a pinpoint early cross have made the 25-year-old the best in the world at his position.
A Champions League crown and leading role in Liverpool's 97-point season, which would have won the Premier League in 25 of the previous 27 campaigns should have been enough for Robertson to make the FIFPro XI.
Central midfield: N'Golo Kante (Chelsea)
N'Golo Kante won PL in his first season at Chelsea, making him the first outfield player to win back-to-back English league titles with different clubs since Eric Cantona in 1992 and 1993.
He also won the PFA Players' Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year.
In 2018, Kante was named to the FIFA FIFPro World XI and UEFA Team of the Year. Also, he was a key member of the French team that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Attacking midfield: Bernardo Silva (Man City)
Pep said in May. "Bernardo can play incredibly well everywhere, give me a team and he can play well there."
Seven goals and seven assists in England's top rung are modest numbers compared to many FIFPro XI inductees.
However, it was how Bernardo could cover nearly 14 kilometers in a single match and retain possession better than Ake, Xhaka, and Noble while playing in such tight spaces.
Attacking midfield: Raheem Sterling (Man City)
Tipped for the very top from a young age, the 24-year-old is flourishing under the Spaniard’s tutelage, with 2018/19 his most productive season yet.
The former Liverpool star hit 22 goals in all competitions last season, providing a further 10 assists, and was often looked to for inspiration during City's treble-winning campaign.
His performances were rewarded with an FWA Footballer of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year double deserved individual accolades for the winger’s most impressive season to date.
Forward: Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich)
Lewandowski had better than a pedestrian group stage in Europe compared to top-level peers.
The big Polish striker scored 22 goals in 2018-19 Bundesliga season.
Forward: Sadio Mane (Liverpool)
Mane finished fourth in the voting behind Lionel Messi, Ronaldo, and Kylian Mbappe, and after a stellar campaign domestically and in Europe, it's a deserved recognition.
The Senegalese attacker was arguably Liverpool's best player in the Champions League, earning a spot in the Squad of the Season.
Domestically, Mane was included in the PFA Team of the Season after sharing Golden Boot honors with Aubameyang and Salah.
Forward: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
Back-to-back Premier League Golden Boots earn Mohamed Salah a place in our formidable-looking forward line.
His performances saw him win a PFA Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year double, and his prolific return in front of goal continued last season.
Salah opened the scoring from the penalty spot in 2018-19 UCL final, as Liverpool redeemed themselves by becoming champions of Europe for a sixth time.
