How good is Haaland amid Man Utd transfer speculation? We asked FIFA 20

The 2019/20 Champions League campaign got underway this week, with Manchester City, Tottenham, Chelsea and Liverpool all in action against some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Only Manchester City managed to win, beating Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donestk 3-0, with Liverpool and Chelsea losing to Napoli and Valencia respectfully, while Tottenham earned a 2-2 draw with Olympiacos.

But, the real talking point from the opening round of Champions League fixtures was the performance of Red Bull Salzburg forward Erling Braut Haaland, son of former Manchester City defender Alf-Inge Haaland, who scored a magnificent first-half hat-trick against Genk.

The Norweigan's treble against the Belgian side takes his goal tally to an incredible 17 goals already this season, after playing just nine matches.

This form has led to links with some of Europe's biggest clubs, including Manchester United.

So, just how good is Haaland? And, how good can he become?

We used FIFA 20 to find out.

Haaland has been given an exciting profile of attributes in FIFA 20, demonstrating his quality and potential.

For a player who is 6ft 4in, to have 75 acceleration and 80 sprint speed, is pretty impressive.

Obviously, the Norweigan has brilliant strength (85), but he also has really good aggression (80), shot power (74) and stamina (71).

His technical attributes are not great at the moment, on FIFA 20 at least, with the 19-year-old having just 70 for finishing, 60 for short passing, 66 for dribbling and 62 for heading.

However, his potential overall rating of 86 out of 100 on FIFA 20 suggests that he could become a top quality player in a few years time.

If he reaches his full potential, FIFA 20 suggests that he can become better than Manchester United strikers Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in the future, such is his promise.

The game suggests that if United can convince Haaland to join the club, he could be a real star in a few years time, if he isn't already.
