Tottenham unveil new 90s-themed third kit that pays tribute to iconic stars

Tottenham have unveiled their new 90s-themed third kit for the 2019-20 season.

The new kit, which is light blue from head to toe, pays tribute to iconic players of the past by bringing back the famous shade synonymous with the talent that helped carve the way for the club’s future success.

The kit features numerous other nods to '90's culture with the club crest benefitting from an elevated trim and the '90s vibe is topped up by a Nike 'Futura' logo.

The jersey also features a 'Spurs' graphic running across it thanks to a matte/shine jacquard.

The shirt is framed by a dark blue trim on the sleeves, and also a classic '90s button-down collar.

The same dark blue details the shorts and crowns the otherwise light blue socks.

'Everyone will see the retro influence, it's a tribute to the jersey culture of the 90s,' said Tottenham and England forward Harry Kane.

'When you see the light blue you think of those players that paved the way, and I hope this year we can wear it with pride to go all the way.'

AJ Tracey, lifelong Spurs fan and prominent UK rap star, featured in the campaign imagery for the kit and of it, he says:

'It's one of my favourite jerseys for sure, the light blue pops and the retro aesthetic goes down well. I can't wait to wear it to the European games especially this season.'

The 2019-20 Tottenham Hotspur home kit will be available from nike.com on September 4th.
